With Toonly, you can create 2d animated explainer videos, review videos, ad videos, product videos and more. Toonly is a desktop-based software. With a single license, you can use Toonly on a PC and MAC.

It is a video where there is a moving hand that explains various concepts by drawing different pictures and by writing texts, on a whiteboard. Doodly can create whiteboard, blackboard, glass board animations for you. You can also choose a custom image background or a custom colour as your drawing board.

Also, the $67 plan gives you access to only the basic features. Meaning, if you buy the lifetime license for Doodly, you can draw only the black-and-white doodle videos, and not the coloured ones.

If you want to draw the coloured doodle videos, you will have to buy the doodly rainbow add-on that is going to cost you an extra $67.

As mentioned above, Toonly and Doodly are software built for completely different purposes. They work differently and create different kinds of videos. So it is almost impossible to compare them and decide which one is actually a better software.

Which One Should You Use?

The answer depends on what you want to create or which type of videos cater to your business. If you want cartoon styled videos get Toonly. If you want to create whiteboard-style animation videos get Doodly.

That means if you want to create both cartoon-styled and doodle style animation videos you will have to get both Toonly and Doodly.
