Speechelo Review : How Powerful Is This AI Text to Speech Software?
Welcome to our Speechelo review. The good news is that we have already purchased this software and have been using it for some time now. And now we are ready to take you through our review of Speechelo and tell you everything you need to know before making the buying decision.
We have been using text to speech software for many of our video projects in a variety of niches for a few years now with considerable success rate. And till now, the best text to speech software we ever used has to be Vidnami. It is a video creation software that also has the auto-voice feature.
And now Speechelo has launched. We were very curious to find out how the AI voices created in Speechelo actually sound. And what are its limitations? Is Speechelo any good? To learn more about all these let’s begin our Speechelo review.
What Is Speechelo?
Speechelo is a cloud-based text to speech software, using which you can create human-sounding (well, almost) voice-overs from any text. This is possibly the only text to speech engine that adds inflexions to the voice.
If you have ever tried to create voiceovers for your videos or podcasts by now you already know how hard it can be. Hiring freelance voice-over artists for projects isn’t for everyone, because they are damn expensive.
Even if you are able to hire one, it can take them days to deliver your project. If you don’t have the budget for hiring voiceover artists and want to use text-to-speech software to create the voice-over, most of them sound like lifeless robots.
And that’s where Speechelo comes into the picture. The makers of Speechelo claim that the voices you create using their software are human-like.
Everyone knows that text to voice engines can’t replace the human voice, at least, not yet. So how far does their claim hold good? Let’s find out.

Speechelo Voices Review
Before looking at the inside of Speechelo let’s first review the text to speech voices available for our use. When you buy Speechelo you get access to both male and female voices. Speechelo voices are available in English and 23 other languages.
Some of the languages in which you can create your voiceovers are Arabic, Mandarin, Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Hindi, Icelandic, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, and Welsh. Also, more languages are being added to the software constantly.
Now, the Speechelo voices are available under two plans. Speechelo standard and Speechelo Pro. Speechelo standard gives you access to 30 human-sounding voices in over 23 languages. But if you purchase the pro upgrade the voices and variations available will be close to 100.
Let’s look at some of the Speechelo Pro voices first.
We really liked the English voices in Speechelo pro. In fact, we have used Andrew’s voice in a few videos already. He really sounds good. Also, Sophia’s Canadian English sounds almost human-like. What do you think?
Now let’s have a look at some of the text to speech voices included in the Speechelo pro version. (This video isn’t available)
Among the available voices in the Speechelo standard version, Joey’s voice is the most widely used one. So if you want to stand out from the crowd, getting the pro upgrade of Speechelo can be a better option.
Speechelo Dashboard: What’s Inside?
Now let’s have a look at the Speechelo member’s area. We have given a screenshot of our account for your reference.
As you can see in the picture above, we have access to the Speechelo standard and Speechelo pro accounts.
On the left side, you can see a bunch of applications like Lingoblaster, Captionizer, Thumbnail blaster etc. We don’t have a subscription to any of those applications at present. And we don’t need any of those apps to use Speechelo.
To access Speechelo, we just need to go to the Speechelo app and then click on ‘Voice Generator’. As you can see above, our app usage information is given on the right top side. This is the usage data in the last 30 days. We will tell you about its importance later.
All the voices we have access to are in the right lower corner of the dashboard in the image above. The main area where we need to enter the text for generating voice-overs is right in the centre.
Now, to generate voice-overs all we need to do is enter a piece of text and click on ‘generate voiceover’ button. We will show you how to do it, right now.
Speechelo Demo: How to Create Voiceovers in Simple Steps?
You can create voice-overs with Speechelo using any text, in three simple steps.
Step 1: Paste Your Text
We just need to paste the text into the Speechelo online text editor, which we want to be transformed. Now the A.I. engine will get into action and check our text and will automatically add all the punctuation marks needed to make the generated voice sound natural.
We can also add these punctuations manually, to make the generated voice more effective. For better results, it is good to use short pieces of text each time and then combine the generated audio files together.
Step 2: Choose the Voice and Language
There are 30 voices available for us to choose from in the Standard version and almost 90-100 voices in the Pro version. There is also an option to preview each voice and choose the one that best suits our needs.
We can also add breathing sounds and longer pauses in the speech to make the voice sound more natural. There is also an option to choose the tone of the speech. We can choose from normal, friendly and serious tones.
Step 3: Generate Voice Over
Once everything is how you want it to be, click on the ‘generate voiceover’ button. Within 10 seconds the voiceover file will be generated. Now we can play the voiceover from inside the Speechelo dashboard and decide whether to keep it or to try another voiceover with a different voice.
Once you are satisfied with the voiceover, just click the download button to export the file to your device. And that’s it. You have successfully turned your text into speech using Speechelo. You can watch the Speechelo review video below to find out how it is done.
Speechelo Pricing
As mentioned earlier, Speechelo is available in the standard version and the pro version which is an upgrade to the standard version.
The Speechelo standard version costs $47 one time. And the Speechelo Pro upgrade will cost your $47 for 3 months. Please remember that the Pro version is a recurring subscription. Now let’s quickly look at the differences between Speechelo Standard and Speechelo Pro.
Speechelo Standard Vs Speechelo Pro
The biggest difference between both the versions is the number of available voices. With the standard version, there are only 30 voices in 23 languages. In the pro version, you get access to 100+ voices.
In the standard version, there is a limit on the voiceover length. Whereas in the Speechelo pro version you can create longer voiceovers. Also, you get access to the premium voices with Speechelo pro. We only use these premium voices for our campaigns.
With the Speechelo pro, you also get access to the commercial license. With this license, you can sell the voiceovers to your clients and keep the profit to yourself.
Other added features of Speechelo Pro include 40 background music tracks, dialogue videos, campaign support, and voice-over cash machine bonus.
Are There Any Other Upgrades?
Yes. There is one more optional upgrade. It’s called Speechelo Worldwide. With this upgrade, you can translate your voiceovers into different languages and also you can import YouTube captions into Speechelo for creating voiceovers.
Is Speechelo Truly Unlimited?
Does Speechelo give you unlimited access? Are there any limitations? And the answer to these questions is a No and a Yes.
Surprisingly they have forgotten to mention any limitations of Speechelo usage on their sales page. However, they do exist. Even we couldn’t find any information about these limitations at first. And that’s why we contacted their support team. And here is the answer we got.
If you look at the screenshot it is obvious that both the Speechelo standard version and the Speechelo pro version have limitations on usage.
The standard version has a limit of 5.5K characters for every download. And has a 500,000 character limit for every month. Similarly, the pro version has a 19K character limit for each download and 700,000 character limit for each month.
Please pay close attention to the above sentences. The limitations are on characters and not words. If you convert these characters to words, it will be even less.
A strange thing we noticed in the above email was that they mentioned that there are no direct limits on the Speechelo Pro usage but, if we generate more than 700K words in a month, they will block our account temporarily. We still have not been able to figure out what exactly they meant by that 🙂
What Happens If You Cross The Usage Limits in Speechelo?
According to the Speechelo support, if we cross the usage limits they will block our account for the remaining days of the month. Meaning, if we cross the limits on the 20th day, they will block our Speechelo account for the remaining 10 days of the month. At least, that’s what we understood from our email conversation.
Is Speechelo a One Time Payment?
Yes. Speechelo standard is a one time payment of $47. We have heard that there is a one time payment option for Speechelo Pro as well. There are many people who got the pro upgrade for a one off payment of $77. However, when we purchased the Speechelo Pro upgrade that particular lifetime offer wasn’t available.
Speechelo Review Verdict: Our Thoughts
Even with its usage limitations, we feel that Speechelo is a great voiceover software. We have decided to keep the Speechelo Pro subscription up for our use. As we mentioned earlier, we like the Speechelo Pro voices especially Andrew and Sophia. They both sound almost human like.
If we keep our use of the software for less than 20,000 characters per day, there will not be any problem for sure.
Our suggestion to you
We suggest you get the Speechelo standard version and then upgrade your account to Speechelo Pro. If you are a serious marketer or a blogger, it is going to worth you every penny.
But if you are limited on budget, you can get the Speechelo standard version first and try the different voices. Frankly, we found that the choice of voices in the standard version is quite limited. The voices included are good but not many.
So if you want to use Speechelo to its full potential, Speechelo Pro is a must-have.
How Are We Planning to Use Speechelo?
We have started a YouTube channel in one of the mainstream niches. We are planning to use Speechelo with Vidnami to create videos in that niche based on the keywords research we have done. We are going to post 10 content videos followed by 2 promotional videos. We will be promoting ClickBank offers on that YouTube channel.
