Let’s take a closer look at how Frase works and see what features it has to offer.

Let me log inside my account. 

What you are seeing in the image above is Frase’s home dashboard.

Every time we log in this is where we arrive.

You can arrange all your documents into different folders from the ‘All Folders’ section on the left corner as shown in the image.

Documents play an important role inside Frase. They are considered the building blocks of our content optimization process.

We can do everything inside these documents. We can perform SERP analysis, we can create content brief using AI, refresh content via URL and optimize content as we write.

This allows us to create well-rounded, targeted content that is sure to meet our audience’s needs.

Frase Document Editor

The Frase content editor (document editor) is where I am going to spend most of my time in this Frase review.

The editor has 4 modules.

Research, outline, AI write and optimize.

Research

From the research module, Frase analyses my competitor’s data and helps me create detailed content briefs in no time.

It also gives me very valuable data about the average word count, headers, links, and images required for me to rank at the top of search engines like Google. 

It also gives the domain authority score and the backlinks required to rank.

If I don’t want to create a content brief manually, I can just click on the ‘Automated Content Brief’ button to create the content brief automatically, using the Frase Artificial Intelligence module.  

I can also look at each of my competitor’s data individually and create a content brief. 

Outline

The next section is ‘Outline’.

From here I can open the SERP explorer and select headings from the top search results to compose my article or the blog post outline. I can then use these headings as they are or rewrite these outlines and create my own. 

I usually rewrite these outlines so that they don’t appear similar to my competitor’s blog posts and articles. I will also add my own headlines to the content to make it more creative and unique.

Once my outline is ready, I can now move on to the next step which is to write content.

Frase AI Write

To write content, I can either do it manually or take the help of the AI content creator built inside Frase.

There are different templates available that we can use to write blog posts and marketing copy. I can also easily rewrite a sentence or a paragraph using the AI module inside Frase.

We can also simply click on the ‘write for me’ button below to continue writing from the cursor position in our document.

I am not sure how Frase’s content look back works but the content it creates definitely stays on-topic, the content is well researched and flows nicely.

Optimize

The next module is ‘Optimize’.

As we start writing, the software analyzes our document and makes recommendations on how we can optimize our content for better results. 

It looks at things like keyword density, headers, titles, topic clusters and more. 

It has a bar on the top which keeps track of our SEO score and it turns green when we reach a minimum score which is the average score across our competitors. 

And that’s it. That is how easy it is to create high-quality SEO content with Frase.

Once we are done creating our content, we can easily export it in PDF or HTML formats. We can also copy our content to the clipboard and paste it into our WordPress editor.

Other than creating a new piece of content I can also optimize existing content using Frase. To do that I need to either import my content directly from the URL or copy and paste the content inside the document editor. 

Dedicated Outlines Section

There is also a dedicated outline section inside Frase where I can enter my target keyword and get related keywords along with monthly search volume and related questions. This is great if you want to dominate Answer Engine Optimization.

Answer Engine Optimization is the process of optimizing your content to rank in the featured snippet box. It involves creating content that directly answers specific questions.

Using all these available parameters I can then build my outline for my blog post or article. This is a great way to make sure that my content is well researched and covers all the topics related to my target keyword.

Frase Templates

Frase also has my templates section from where you can create your own custom templates to train the Frase AI.

We can also access the community templates from here, which are the templates created by other Frase users and shared with the community. 

Analytics

Then there is the Analytics section. Whether I am trying to decide which pages on my website need to be optimized or what topic I should write about (content gap analysis) to drive new traffic, this content analytics tool can help.

All I need to do is connect my Google Analytics account and Frase will show me which pieces of my blog content are performing the best. 

I can also see things like ranked pages, average ranking, clicks growth and more.

Frase also suggests ranking opportunities and points out content pieces that are doing badly. 

This is a great way to quickly improve our website’s SEO performance by taking a look at what’s already working well and replicating that success with other pieces of content.

Help

Then there is the ‘Help’ section from where you can access tutorials and the support.

Now, before winding this Frase review up, let me talk about pricing.

Pricing

At present, Frase is available under 3 plans.

Solo, Basic and the Team plan.

The solo plan costs $19.99 per month, the Basic plan costs $44.99 per month and the team plan costs $114.99 per month respectively. (The Frase Solo Plan has been recently removed)

The main difference in features between these plans is the number of documents you can create, optimize and analyze. 

The solo plan allows you to create up to 7 documents per month while the Basic plan gives you 30 documents per month and the team plan gives you an unlimited number of documents per month. 

Other than that there is also a difference in the number of users. 

The solo plan and the Basic plan can have 1 user only while the team plans can have 3 users. 

Please remember that these plans don’t include the SEO add-on.

The SEO add-on costs an additional $35 per month that gives you unlimited access to the Frase AI Writer, unlimited rewriting and other premium features such as the domain authority data and the backlink data. 

With the add-on, we can also enter and analyse up to 5 search queries per document.

Is Frase Worth It?

Yes, of course!

Frase has loads of great features and is constantly improving.

Its pricing is also affordable enough for bloggers and small businesses who are just getting started with an SEO campaign or want to improve traffic on their website. 

In my opinion, the team plan is the best value for money as it gives you an unlimited number of documents and 3 users. 

If you have a team of writers then this will be a great way to manage your content creation process and optimize your SEO at the same time. 

If you’re just starting out or if you don’t have a big budget then you can go for the basic plan and upgrade to a higher plan later on as your needs change.

All in all, I am really impressed with Frase and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is serious about their website’s SEO.

It is very easy to use and it creates high-quality content that is sure to rank well in search engines.
