How To Create Animated Videos With Explaindio?

Creating video animations with Explaindio is quite straightforward. To create any kind of video you need to follow this process.

Create a slide:

You can either pick premade slides or can choose a blank slide, to begin with.

Add elements:

You can add image, video, text elements to your selected side. You can either use the media stored in the Explaindio library or add your own items.

Customize:

Once all the elements have been added to the slide, it is time to customize the video. You can use the editor timeline to adjust the timing.

Also, there is a customization option available for even the smallest element on your canvas. Similarly, you can add more slides and customize them.

Export:

Once everything is done, export the video in your desired format.

Now let’s see how to create a video using Explaindio.

Let’s launch the software first.

This is the Explaindio interface.

As you can see, there is the timeline editor on the top, which is where most of the action takes place. This is where we can adjust our different slides, types of animations, duration of the animation, and more.

And then there is the scene editor. This is the section right below the timeline editor. From the scene editor, we can change the speed of the animation, colour of the image, animation effects, and more.

We can also upload a background element behind the sketch image. We can upload a background video, a GIF, or a normal image. Then there is the ‘action after scene section’, which adds the exit animation to the slide.

To get started, let’s create a project first. Once that’s done, we need to create a scene.

Now there are a few options available at the bottom here. We can add text, image, sketch image, video, or an animated GIF. When it comes to adding an image, we can add an image from local storage, Pixabay, or Pexels.

To add an image to the slide we need to click on the ‘Add Bitmap Image’ tab. 

Then click on the local storage option and choose an image to be added. Then choose the ‘don’t sketch’ option and click add. 

Similarly, we can add videos, GIF images, sketch images, and text to our scene.

Whenever we add an element to the scene, the corresponding options will also be loaded in the timeline editor. Here, we can choose the type of effect we want.

For example, we can choose the ‘sketch’ effect with or without a hand. Similarly, we can also choose fade-in and fade-out effects, morph effect, uncover effect, fly effect, and more.

When it comes to animating text elements, we have a ton of ‘kinetic typography’ options as well. 

Once we add an effect to the element on the scene, we can easily increase or decrease the duration of the animation in the timeline editor. Also, it is very easy to rearrange the animation sequence.

We also have the option to choose the type of hand we want. There are more than 25 types of hands with different pens, available inside Explaindio 4.

Similarly, we can add animations and slides to the video. To do that just click on the ‘Add Animation’ button. We have two options available. We can either ‘add Explaindio slide’ or ‘add the flash animation’. 

Let’s choose an Explaindio slide, select a scene pack and choose a scene template. 

We can either add a single scene to the video or add the entire pack. 

If we want to add music and voice-over to the video, that can be done from the ‘Audio’ section on the top. Once the video is ready, we can use the ‘create video’ button to export the video to the desired resolution.

I personally own many whiteboard animation and explainer video software, and I definitely recommend Explaindio. It’s a great tool to have if you are into video marketing or any other kind of marketing, for that matter.

It is user-friendly and definitely recommended, even for beginners.
